CERN seems extremely interesting. I had watched a few documentaries on this project during the past few months. Just hope everything happens as predicted by the CERN Lead Scientist. 8)
I've seen several start-ups based on social collaboration. All intrigueing and somewhat inspiring - all seem to be missing something.
1. I feel there is something to be said for real-world face time and the collaborative motivations that birth from that. The net can serve as a great canvas to communicate, and yet - to really pursue goals with another human, to invest one's heart and energy, to discover and feel commitment to the project- I feel there is a need to know that person and meet them at a higher bandwidth. Face to face.
Therefore, I feel integration of skype and meetup.com-like features will be essential to cultivating the real potential of social-collaboration.
2. Otto Scharmer has done amazing work in founding the Presencing Institute at MIT - systems thinking, organizational transformation, and deep collaboration. His book, TheoryU, is a must read for anyone working to pioneer social collaboration tools, technologies, and culture.

I am curious to know if the Gerhardts are familiar and have read TheoryU.
3. The last notion is a note - Cradle to Cradle Branding for Amazee - is there such a thing as online facilitation tools that help true goals emerge? clear precise understanding of the problem? And then can there be an evolving bed of resources that carry that group of users through towards the achievement of their goals.
Even real human Goal-Coaches.. trained in group dynamics and facilitation.
Great Content. Thanks guys.
Thanks, jp - got it-
