Rebooting Terminator: McG on Making 'Salvation' More Than Spectacle

We live in an age where you can get a replacement hip, a mechanical heart, or drugs that regulate your brain chemistry. Director McG aims to move the Terminator franchise beyond pure movie-making spectacle by asking deeper questions about what makes us human. "The whole film is really an exploration regarding what is it that makes people willing to sacrifice themselves for other people," he says. This is the second video from McG's Fast Company interview with writer Mark Borden.

Wow. CP+Bogusky is one of the greatest ad shops on earth. If this is the best they can do to help Microsoft, that's pretty sad. I was feeling like TBWA's Mac vs. PC spots were getting old, until this new Microsoft campaign came along. I think the competition did them good. Those new Apple spots are some of the best I've seen in the campaign so far. And they really address Microsoft's issue head on-- Instead of addressing the real problems with Vista, they're just throwing money into marketing instead. It also goes without saying that every desk at CP+B has a Mac on it.

not to --> to not Bezos says, "What's very dangerous is to not evolve." The photo quotes him incorrectly, reading, "what's dangerous is not to evolve." This 'to-not', 'not-to' syntax reversal changes his statement to mean that evolution isn't dangerous (and implies that something else is). But Bezos's comment is much stronger; it is dangerous to do anything other than evolve... I hope you'll make the correction. I hope you'll evolve.

Oh great, now every shopping experience can be like trying to buy batteries at RadioShack - can't get out without them offering you a new cell phone or a satellite TV dish among other things....

is it possible to make a comment plugin that can have in wordpress that instead of subscribing to a post comment it gives the option to post it to your twitter account. but not all comments just the ones you make on that blog. I have notice that not just a post has valid information but comments on a subject gives more to the post and it would make it easier to find post that relate to what you are looking for and the comments about what you are looking for.

This seems like implementing technologies that do a wonderful job of increasing inconvenience. Why could I declare my payment method on entry and with the included RFID tags just walk out with what I want being automatically charged for it? The web has no store clerks, I like that, why would I want to go through a service that forced additional interaction with someone who I know is not working in my best interest?
