AdMob: Riding the Mobile Advertising Wave

Wednesday, April 23rd, 2008

Omar Hamoui, Admob's founder and CEO, shows us how the mobile Internet space is changing and why his company is growing fast. He gives us a demo of an ad buy and just how many people can be reached in a quick order. Also tells us how he got a term sheet signed in less than two days from his investors.

Hey, why not record your own video response on Youtube - and insert the url here.

nowadays the mobile Internet is really developping with the highest speed! and i think it will bring much success to such actors as Admob! wish them good luck

CTR is bogus, he didn't show you where they are coming from.

Have you ever clicked on a mobile ad before, Campaign is not even a interesting one, it is not about rock concert or some thing people really crave.

There are two ways for such a company to continue its existance in present market:
1. Grow to its full potential and then being acquired by a bigger advertising competitor like Google
2. Based on the product already created present something that will make the bigger players winners as well
Second way seems to be more logical, but it is up to Admob to choose where they are going..Good luck guys!

Hi Robert, I was indeed a great interview with AdMob. Lots of interesting statistics and practical tips about mobile advertising. In fact, I featured it in one of the first entries in my new CMP "Internet Evolution" mobile blog designed for reading on cellular phones.

I'm also a huge fan of your Qik interviews. Live streaming cellular video is revolutionary.

Great interview once again! Mobile advertising is going to be a big thing as it seems mobile internet usage is increasing.

Admob is a great service. We use it for our mobiletraffic.tv site...Nice to see a couple of faces that are behind the service.

Great interview! Just for the record, Next2Friends has created the platform for the Proximity-Based Advertising that Omar and Robert talked briefly about. Further, it is tied into a Mobile Social Network so not only will the ads be location aware, they can be focused on a user's profile preferences. Truly the next frontier of advertising!

WOW! That was a great interview. Loved learning how AdMob got started and all the tremendous stuff they are doing today.

That ad demo was priceless. Thanks for showing that.
